» Most of the recordings in the Irish Life and Lore archive have been divided into Collections according to the counties or subject area in which they were compiled. Each Collection is comprised of approximately 50 hours of recordings accompanied by an illustrated catalogue giving a brief synopsis of each recording. Each Collection has been produced in digitised format in 256 kbps audio and catalogue in PDF. The recordings are also available in hard copy (CDs) or may be downloaded.
»The First Sligo Collection, the Fifth Kerry Collection and the Second Cork Theatrical Collection will all be launched shortly.
» The Great Houses of Cork and Kerry Collection was launched by the Irish Heritage Trust at Fota House in Cork on January 26, 2011. The collection consists of 51 recordings with illustrated catalogue. The project was generously funded by FEXCO.
» The
Irish Missionary Union oral history project is also being compiled, and returned Irish missionaries who have spent many years working abroad, are being recorded.
» Some special collections have been compiled: Cork Institute of Technology collection, Dublin Institute of Technology collection, 1916 collection, Bord na Móna collection, Fleischmann collection and Falkland Islands collection.
