This interview was recorded some time after Mr. Mulhall suffered a stroke; there is consequently some hesitancy in his speech patterns but, notwithstanding this, the narrative is entirely factual and coherent. Track 1: His background in Dublin. Qualified as a radio officer at Kevin Street Technical College; discusses his three years at sea from 1960–1963. Track 2: Worked as a technician with RTÉ in the Outside Broadcast Unit. Chaired the Trade Union Committee in RTÉ (Visual Unit). Track 3: In 1974, was appointed Personnel Officer at Trinity College Dublin. Memories of his working brief, staff colleagues and his superiors. His later appointment as Staff Secretary, after Aidan Dunne. Track 4: Reflections on the attitude change amongst college authorities in respect of the appointment of Catholic staff members to what was traditionally an Anglo-Irish college. Track 5: Memories of an industrial dispute involving non-academic staff at Trinity, and the part he played in resolving this.
