Part two of three. In the 1960s in Cork, the satirical Slag Shows were unique and wonderful performances.  The performers included people such as Michael Twomey,  Siobhan O’Brien, Charlie Hennessy, Donal O’Donovan, Frank Duggan and  Paddy Comerford. The sketches were written by Colm Fehily.  Introduction to the shows was recorded by Donal O’Donovan in 2009.

Track 1: A take-off of Frankie Byrne’s radio programme.

Track 2: An investigation by Sherlock Holmes of a garda giving traffic directions.

Track 3: A political campaign song.

Track 4: The tyranny of the public gives a civil servant a hard time.

Track 5: Donal O’Donovan sings a take-off of Ian Paisley.
