The historic castle of Dunboy, seat of the O’Sullivan Beare, near Castletownbere in West Cork is steeped in history. It was the last stronghold in the south west of Ireland to fall to Elizabethan forces under Sir George Carew in 1602. The famous and heroic siege of Dunboy is eloquently recalled by Connie, who brings to life for us these extraordinary events of four hundred years ago.
