The 58 audio recordings that comprise the Dublin Institute of Technology Oral History Collection are interviews with DIT educators, many of whom are now retired, and others who were heavily involved with the Institute at various stages of its development. Many of these people were members of staff as the Institute went through a period of great change, moving from a group of autonomous technical colleges to one of the largest third level educational institutions in Ireland. This change was also mirrored by changes in Irish society, pedagogy and educational practice. This oral history project endeavours to capture the experiences and thoughts of those who spent and are spending their working lives improving and developing the educational system in Ireland. Participants in this collection were recorded in 2010.
