Track 1: Fr Uinseann speaks about some of the remarkable monks, including a Cistercian brother Michael Tough from Tralee in County Kerry. Track 2: ‘The Celtic Monk’ a book of translations written by Fr Uinseann recalls some of the stories he translated. Track 3: From reading some of the twelfth-century manuscripts he speaks about the strict life and the kind of foodstuffs available to them. Track 4: The travelling and health of these men, and the difficulties they had to overcome. Track 5: A manuscript, which was written in 1170 and which originated in Switzerland.
