Geoff Doyle lives in an old cottage which was thatched in earlier times. The recording began with his account of his marriage into a farming family, he himself originally came from Muckalee, where his father’s farm had been established for 140 years. Geoff had many stories to tell about going to the fair in Kilkenny and threshing for other farmers with a threshing machine which still stands proudly in the haggard of his farm today.
