In this recording, George Butler recalls the war years in Ireland and shares his vivid memories of cycling with a friend to Belfast to look for work. Due to his expertise with electronics he obtained employment at an airfield in Northern Ireland. He worked in 27 Army stations in the North, at Stormont and City Hall, until at wars end his employment was terminated.
