In the beginning of this recording Tony Molloy speaks about the local people and later as we toured the area John suggested that we return to the house to meet his wife, Margery so that they could play some of the local tunes for me. Tony informed me that he was involved in the making of melodeons, and could himself whistle a jig. And so with John playing the tin whistle, and Margery playing the Jew’s harp, and Tony whistling melodiously, the time flew by in harmonious music played by three great custodians of the old musical traditions.
