Maurice’s ability to retain memories of the many historical events which took place in the town of Listowel is demonstrated in this recording which includes a description of his own education, and his qualification in rural science. Maurice also recalls  local political speeches, farming during the Emergency period and his appointment to other parts of the country. Meeting the farmers of North Kerry over the years provided Maurice Stack with an abundance of interesting stories, memories such as the Economic War of the thirties, Fair Day, dairy farming and crop production, and many other farming-related stories.
