A retired postman from Adrigole, West Cork, we met in ‘TÃr Na nÓg’, Sean Nicholson’s house by the sea near Adrigole where he told me a wonderful story of a man who placed his rosary beads on the top of his potato pit to keep harm out. Also, ‘The Red Door’ story and the history of the McSweeney’s.
