Terence McGough is a retired jarvey for Killarney, who over many years brought tourists around the sights of the area, just like his father before him. I was privileged to tour some of the more interesting sights of Killarney with Terence early one spring morning. The first stop on the tour was Mill Road, the site of an old mill which was used to generate electricity for the town of Killarney. We also visited the McCarthy Mor Castle, Muckross House and the tomb of Henry Arthur Herbert who originally built Muckross House. As Terence explains, Herbert was  was buried standing up in order to overlook his estate in death. Other well-known Killarney sights were also visited.
