A native of Cabra, Tomás Maher lived for many years in Connemara. He always had a great interest in the Irish language, and speaks about his many rich experiences in the Gaelteacht area. He has been a long-time resident of Tallaght, is a part-time employee of South Dublin County Council Libraries and is chairperson of Tallaght Historical Society.
