In this recording Annie Murphy’s enthusiasm and passion for pantomime, light opera and chorus singing, are clearly evident. She recalls her early days growing up in Carrigeen Street, her young days as she married and reared her family, and finally settling in Wexford Town. She also describes her first successful audition for the Festival Opera as a chorus singer, as well as her own singing and acting, which became a very big part of her life. She fondly recalls the people who inspired her and who provided her with a lifelong interest in music and she is very proud of the fact that she and her three children were involved in Light Opera.
