Track 1: Betty was also known during her acting career as Elizabeth Engle. She describes her family background in the tannery business in Cork City. Growing up in College Road in the 1920s and 1930s and stories relating to her aunt, who played the piano to accompany silent films. Her introduction to the Gilbert and Sullivan show. Track 3: Remembering James N. Healy and the great success of the Gilbert and Sullivan shows. Her husband Seán’s involvement with the shows. Track 4: The staging of the Gilbert and Sullivan shows in the fifties. Track 5: Looking through old photographs of those days, and she sings a song from that time. Track 6: Remembering Joan Denise Moriarty’s ballet classes. Track 7: Her time spent in the family business.
