Track 1: Growing up in Dungannon, Co Wexford in the 1920s and 30s. Joining the Augustinians during the Emergency period. His formation years. Graduation from UCC with a BA. He then spent six years in Rome and afterwards, taught in Dungarvan for five years. He earned a H.Dip in Galway. Track 2: Appointment to Nigeria in 1962. Assignment to Yola in the Diocese of Maiduguri. The Biafran War and getting supplies across the border. He was selected to teach in a minor seminary for 15 years. From 1977-1988, parish work in the same diocese. Track 3: The transition time when Vatican II came in. Track 4: His appointment in 1988 as Bishop after the death of Bishop Tadhg Cotter, a Limerick man. He discusses his five years as administrator and then his work in the Diocese of Maiduguri. His return to Ireland in 2003.
