Track 1: Growing up near Clonakilty, West Cork in the 1930s. His education, joining the Columban Fathers, and the years before his ordination. Track 2: First missionary appointment was to Japan in 1955. He learnt the language, and worked in the Diocese of Tokyo for two years, appointed to the Diocese of Yokohama for three years. He talks about his time at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Tokyo. Track 3: His pastoral work in Japan, and taking on the role of local superior. Track 4: The breaks back home from his missionary work in 1962, 1970 and 1976. In 1986 he was re-appointed back home to do vocational recruitment. Returned to Japan in 1995 after nine years as vice-director of the Columban Fathers in Ireland.
