Conducted over three years, the ‘1922-2022: A Century of Change’ oral history collection commemorates the centenary of the of the formation of the Irish Free State (Saorstát Eireann).

The 287 interviewees include leaders in business and finance, in the arts and culture arenas, in media, agriculture, education, politics, engineering and architecture, health, the defence forces, and sport. These men and women, or their immediate family members, have all made a significant contribution to life in Ireland since the foundation of the state.

The 135 page illustrated catalogue, detailing all of the recordings in the collection can now be purchased for €60.

The catalogue is organised thematically and gives details of the 287 individual recordings as follows:

  • Name, date of birth and image of the person recorded
  • Date, Location and Length of the recording
  • Key Words indicating content of the recording.
