Celine Slattery (née O’Mahony (b. 1930)

Track 1: Growing up in Killarney in the 1930s and 40s. Her background and her father’s involvement in the fight for freedom, 1920-21. Track 2: Joining Kerry County Council in 1949 after her education. Meeting her future husband Paddy Slattery. Marriage in 1960. The CYMS and her involvement with the badminton club there. Track 3: The Red Cross, also her memories of working for TD Denis Foley as a constituency secretary. Her involvement with tourism in Tralee in the early days of the Kingdom County Fair in Ballymullen Barracks. Track 4: Early days with the Irish Countrywomen’s Association.
