Description
Track 1: Growing up on the shores of Strangford Lough, Co Down, in the 1940s and 50s. The Troubles in Northern Ireland. Joining the Spiritans. Track 2: His first appointment to Papua New Guinea. He discusses the loneliness and isolation at the mission in the jungle, describing the place and the tribal people there. Learning the local language. Track 3: The people in the tribal villages and their customs and beliefs. Working with eight different tribes for three years. Track 4: He describes two of the tribes who prepared for battle and how he prevented them from fighting. He briefly talks about his assignment to Kenya, Angola and Mexico.
