Track 1: Growing up in Moyvane, Co Kerry in the 1930s and 40s, his days as a seminarian in Dalgan Park and his studies in UCD after ordination, following which he taught in England for 13 years. In 1966 he went to Suva, Fiji, settling in and teaching in Corpus Christi teachers’ college there. Track 2: He describes the transition from colonialism to independence in 1970. Track 3: After a brief visit home, returning as Principal of the college. His appointment to a secondary school on the western side of Fiji, and the difficulties he had to overcome there, teaching different denominations. Track 4: In 1977 he handed over the school and moved to a hill parish and an island parish for a short period. Track 5: His final mission in 1989 was to assist native Fijians in becoming Columbans. In 2001 he was appointed Director for the Columbans in Fiji. He retired in 2006.
