Description
Track 1: Growing up in Louisburgh, Co Mayo in the 1930s. He talks about his education and joining the Kiltegan Fathers. Track 2: His appointment to the diocese of Calabar in Nigeria, where he taught, promoted drama and his involvement in politics. Track 3: Appointed to the Northern Provence of Malawi, learning the local language, pastoral work. A vivid account of the political tension in 1978, being deported, returning to Ireland to teach in a seminary in Co Carlow.
