This collection consists of oral history recordings conducted with twenty-six interviewees in counties Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare and Meath in 2022 and 2023.
The content of these recordings covers a broad range of topics including life on Scattery Island and its inhabitants; the working of the Land Commission; the GAA; farming on the Bureen in Co Clare and its archaeology; lives spent in the nursing profession, in An Garda Síochána, the confectionary industry and the Dominican Order; vernacular architecture; rural electrification; the Seven Arch Bridge (pack-horse bridge) in Scurlockstown Co. Meath, and Irish Traveller customs, traditions and culture.
