This recording, compiled at Ballinkeel House provides a great deal of information on John and Margaret Maher’s family histories. Margaret, a native of Scotland, spoke about her visits to Ballinkeel, and her marriage. In 1980, John and Margaret set up a wine bar in the Theatre Royal, which turned out to be a very successful enterprise which lasted for 15 years. Margaret recalled her involvement with the Festival in volunteering to paint the back drops and to work on props while her husband John was working as an usher.
