Don Curtin is a native of Cork. He joined Local Government in 1970 and was Town Clerk in several locations around the country. He came to Wexford in 1984 and was Town Clerk in Wexford Town for 17 years. Don speaks about his time on the Opera Festival Council, which he joined in 1986. During that time, a very brave decision was made by the Council to create a more businesslike approach by forming an Opera Festival Board, which would involve a limited number of directors. Don also details the changing face of Wexford Town, and the support of the local Council in the building of the new Opera House.
