Mary McNally begins this second recording with a description of her work at Dublin Castle as a court registrar, which she began at a very young age. Her work became more interesting when she transferred to the Passports Office, dealing firsthand with the emigrants of the forties, fifties and sixties who went to England and the Continent. In 1978 she took up a position in the Four Courts, and recounts many interesting stories of her time there.
