Michael McWey ran an auctioneering and undertaker’s business in Kildare town. He is a member of the Fine Gael party, and is probably the longest serving councillor in County Kildare. He discusses in detail his work on Kildare County Council. He has an early memory of the Republican prisoners whom de Valera’s government had imprisoned arriving at the Curragh Camp. He is proud to have handed on his business to the safekeeping of the next generation.
