The late Muiris Rohan was a native of John Street in Dingle and was a retired schoolteacher at the time he was recorded. He recalled the history and folklore relating to the Wren Boys, including the dance, the music, the costumes and the characters involved. The recording also includes some wonderful music played by the Granvilles, Declan Moloney and Conor Brosnan.
