Track 1: Robert Salter Townshend recalls his Salter grandparents and an incident which occurred during the Civil War. Track 2: Maurice Townshend, his maternal grandfather, is recalled by Robert Salter Townshend, Track 3: The castle in the years following the family’s occupation there. Track 4: Fishing in Castletownshend is described. Track 5: On Robert Salter Townshend’s return in 1963, following his naval career, he helped in the work at the castle. Track 6: The West Cork Sailing Club was founded by the Townshend family in 1905, and Robert Salter Townshend is now Commodore of the club.
