Track 1: Recalled that her father was one of three who set up the Credit Union movement in Ireland. Track 2: Her early years in Clontarf; chronic health problems which restricted her schooling. Her introduction to RTÉ and her appearance on ‘Teen Talk’, working with Bunny Carr. Her passion for the medium of radio. Track 3: Recalled her fashion and beauty column, freelancing with the Irish Press. Later published a series of short stories. At age 23 wrote her first book: Writing and Getting Paid for it. Her favourite type of journalism was writing profiles of personalities in the news. Memories of other women working in journalism in those days. Track 4: In 1975, met her future husband, Tom Savage, while working as a reporter in RTÉ. Her seven years as a researcher for ‘The Late Late Show’ with Gay Byrne. Track 5: Her husband’s background in media and their shared interest in this. Track 6: Her published books and the inspiration for these. Her public relations consultancy. Track 7: Her husband’s position as Chairman of RTÉ and the recent challenges involved in this position.
