This recording begins with a short interview with Tommy Clarke’s wife, Breda, who tells a story about her father’s life spent as a gardener at a large Carlow estate. Tommy Clarke then reads some information he discovered in the National Library providing information on social aspects on life in Carlow town in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Tommy also recalls his days spent working as a postmaster in Carlow town.
