Description

In this recording Tony Patterson introduces me to the manager of Watergate Theatre, Jerry Cody who told me about its recent history. He spoke about the great performances, including those by the many travelling companies. We walked around the building, and Tony told of his own input there. He retired from the Castlecomer National School, after teaching there for 40 years, from 1957 to 1997, and many stories from some impoverished years were recorded.
