Description
Marie Brady worked for the Opera Festival as a wardrobe mistress, and she speaks at great length about her days and nights preparing costumes for the opera. There was close communication with Seamus O’Dwyer, who worked in her uncle’s post office. Vincent Brady recalls the many occasions on which they would entertain the opera singers in their own houses. The recording also focused on Marie and Vincent’s backgrounds, and their passion for the opera, which they claimed formed a major part of their family’s life.
