Track 1: Recalled that he was employed for seventeen years with Williams’s, working first as a clerk and later as clerical officer. His manager was James Fitzsimons. Track 2: Moved to the wine and spirits section of the bond store, under Mr Billy Pender. Track 3: The security needed for the bond store. Working under Martin O’Connor, he was responsible for measuring the strength of the whiskey in the duty paid warehouse and providing a licence certificate, which detailed the amount and strength of the items. Moved into wholesale provisions. Paddy Hennessy was his manager in this department. Track 4: The branch houses in the 1960s, pre-supermarket days; the emergence of the supermarket business. Track 5: Promotion to Head Office, where he remained until retirement from the company and working with Ollie Clancy, he was responsible for payments to suppliers.
