In this most interesting interview, Chrissie aged 93, and reared in Ballyrobert, Ardfert, rekindles the memories of Roger Casement who came ashore at Banna Strand, Co Kerry in 1916, and was subsequently arrested by British Forces. Chrissie explained that, when her father died, she and her mother moved into the village of Ardfert where they kept a boarding house in a building, which was originally a private school. She related stories about John B. Keane and Eamon Kelly, both of whom were guests there. She also speaks about the Crosbie Estate and Fr. Barton, a parish priest she remembered as a sharp mouthed man. All these stories and more are recalled in this wonderful interview.
