Theme 3: Irish Urban Life

The late Clare O’Sullivan of Killarney was passionate about local history and in 2003, during Heritage Week, she spoke in Killarney Library on the people and the buildings of her native place. She recalled visitors to the town in earlier days, including William Thackeray, Bram Stoker and Count John McCormack. The laneways of Killarney, and the people who lived there and their occupations were also recalled. The lecture was recorded by Irish Life and Lore.
