Track 1: Growing up in Coachford, Co Cork in the 1920s, education, joining the Columban Fathers as a seminarian in the old Dalgan Park in Galway, before ordination in 1943. Track 2: The Emergency Period. Waiting to go to China, via Britain (Holywell) in 1944. Track 3: His voyage to China in 1946. Learning the language. He worked in Hankow, the nearest parish to Shanghai city. Track 4: The arrival of the Communists and the difficulties which followed until his expulsion in 1952. Track 5: His return home for a period of four years before his appointment to Burma.
