I met Jim Nolan at his home where we sat and spoke about many of the local traditions, customs and beliefs. The local family of the O’Neills who lived for many generations nearby, were his mother’s people. They were gifted bonesetters and this gift remains with them. He recited a fine piece associated with the area which he had composed himself.
