Maura White grew up in Wexford, and at the age of 14 arrangements were made for her to work for General Lloyd in Gloster House, then known as Glass Derrymore House, Brosna, Kings County. When she arrived in 1950, her first duty was working as a helper in the kitchen. This interview involves a look back into life in the Big House. We toured the house, visiting all the rooms and speaking about how life was lived through the eyes of the cook.
