MICHAEL POWER, AGE 85, TULLAMORE

Michael Power recalls many of the families who lived in the laneways of Tullamore, including Tea Lane – one of the most fondly remembered places. He provides a running commentary on his day’s work in the malting house and he fondly recalls the brass band, the fife and drum band and the pipe band, each of which gave great entertainment at the dances and on the streets.
