TOM BRACKEN, AGE 95, PULLAGH

The conversation begins with a description of Tom Bracken`s school days after which he went on to work as a farm hand.and later on the canal boats. Tom gives a great account of life on the barges, and all the work involved. The interview continues with a discussion on the Emergency period and on his time cutting turf and building bog roads. He finished with a story about the local priest, a story which contained a supernatural element.
