Michael Sheridan grew up in Clara, and worked in the Goodbody Jute Factory, and later for the Midland Sacks and Boxes Factory. His input into Clara GAA Club was exceptional in that he edited their journal entitled ‘An Clárach an Scéal, 1884-1994’. He spoke in great detail about the players, the teams, the committees and the officials down through the years.
