This recording was compiled in the home of Jim Donoghue, a building of corrugated iron construction. Jim and his friends, Moss, Patsy and Pat, are musicians and they all live in the same locality. Songs were sung, music was played, recitations were declaimed, and stories were told. Jim played the tongs, recited, and sang. Moss played the fiddle, Patsy played the bodhran and the tongs and Pat told the stories.
