Sean Murphy grew up in the 1940s in Dublin and he begins by describing his family background. In 1960 he joined Bord Fáilte, and speaks about An Tostal, and of working with Officer Jim O’Brien at this time. He explains the manner in which Bord Fáilte promoted Ireland around the world through the 1960s and 1970s and describes his work as a Travel Facilities Officer. He emigrated to Toronto in 1983.and become acquainted with the Irish diaspora there and he set up his own travel business, Irish Travel Bureau Inc. He married Karen Whittaker who also owned a travel business, Kemptville Travel Ltd., and the couple continued to run both businesses together.
