Tom Longworth worked for many years with Guinness’s, as a sales representative. When he retired he took over his uncle’s public house in Ballinahown. In this first recording, Tom discusses memories of his childhood, and the local landlords in the area, the O’Donoghues of the Glen, originally from Kerry. While sitting on the wall in the village, Tom provided an insight into a way of life long gone from us now.
