This interview recalls memories of the Second World War in Poland. Wolfgang Walter joined the post-war German Army. In this part of his life he experienced many close encounters with danger during the Cold War period. A chain of circumstances led him to meet his Tullamore-born future wife in Germany. As a result of her ill health they returned to Tullamore for their retirement.
