This recording is a compilation of recollections, recorded a year after the death of Dr Tom Walsh. Many of the interviews are made with family, friends and colleagues in the medical profession, including chronologically Nicky Cleary, Angus Lee, Victoria Walsh, Dr Tom Walsh, Eithne Scallan, tenor Ugo Benelli, Dr Tom Walsh and Jerry Moriarty. The interviews were compiled and broadcast by Radio Éireann in the 1980s. Gratitude is expressed to Jimmy and Sylvia O’Connor for their kind permission to use the six Dr Tom Walsh recordings in the ‘Irish Life and Lore’ Series of audio recordings.
