Track 1: Elizabeth Lady O’Connell reads from the family papers the history and connections of the McCarthy O’Leary family and the O’Connell family. Track 2: Photographs of the Fogarty family of Artane House in Dublin are examined and described, as are Elizabeth O’Connell’s memories of the house. Track 3: Stories about Elizabeth O’Connell’s relatives, and their involvement in World War I are told. Track 4: Elizabeth O’Connell’s mother, Mrs McCarthy O’Leary, nee Fogarty, was a noted singer and Elizabeth recalls her great talent. Track 5: The Fogarty homes in Dublin, Artane House and St James’s in Miltown, both now demolished, are recalled by Elizabeth O’Connell. Track 6: Elizabeth O’Connell worked as a nurse during World War II and she recalls those harsh days. Track 7: Billy Fogarty, Elizabeth O’Connell’s uncle, who died in World War I, is remembered. Track 8: Old photographs of Lakeview House and gardens are described, as old gardeners who worked there for many years are recalled.
