Track 1: Growing up in Cork city in the 1920s. He remembers the War of Independence, and the Black and Tans. His education and the reasons why he joined the Columban Fathers. The first Dalgan House in Galway during his training. Track 2: His ordination in 1939. He was appointed to China, but could not get there until after the War. During the War years he ministered in England. Track 3: His arrival in Shanghi on the 24th May 1946, the contemporary situation in China. He met Bishop Galvin, his bishop for six years, while stationed in a small parish near Hangyang.
