Local historian Jim Kenny brought me on a tour of Ballincumber and its vicinity beginning at the river Brosna. He described the medieval settlements beside the Brosna, the building of the bridges across the river, how the canal helped other towns to develop, and finally he spoke about landlordism in the area.
